The Mt. Parnassus Inn Vacation Rental

Very safe. (US Grenada Travel Advisory) Use the same caution in Grenada that you would use in any large city. If you choose to bring jewelry, cash, etc., the vacation rental has lockable in-room safes for your valuables.

A vacation accommodation at the Mt. Parnassus Inn seems more like a home. Each unit is privately owned and decorated in a distinctive manner. All of the apartments we rent feature full kitchens, which can help you save money and time, especially if you’re traveling with kids! The photographs on our website are true to life representations of the unit and its surroundings. Hotels can guarantee a view category, but they won’t tell you what unit number you’ll be in or how nice the view will be. More information on direct booking can be found here

NO SMOKING  

Smoking and vaping is strictly forbidden, inside, and within 20 feet of any of our properties. Smoking is prohibited property wide at Mt. Parnassus Inn.

There will be a minimum $280 fine charged, eviction and blacklisting may occur if a guest is discovered to have smoked in a Apartment.

Linen, bath towels and kitchen towels are provided. Beach towels are also provided.

Our rentals are equipped with most items that you would find in the average household. Our units feature a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, utensils, dishes, pots and pans, linens, etc. even hairdryers.

Start up amenities include automatic dishwasher soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, limited supply of toilet paper and paper towels. Any supplies beyond the initial start-up amenities are to be supplied by the guest. Shampoo, conditioner and lotions are not provided.

The nightly rate + taxes, cleaning fee, and damage deposit (or damage protection insurance) are included on your reservation.

There is a nominal parking fee ~ $5/night + tax fee for a second car.

You will receive instructions upon payment in full (about 2 days prior to your arrival). Information  includes: driving directions from the airport to the property, parking instructions, the code to the electronic door lock, the internet information along with much, much more!

In order to keep our rates lower than hotel rates, we do not provide daily maid service. This leaves you with privacy and the convenience of washing your own laundry as most condos have a washer. Maid service may be arranged for a nominal fee. Please contact us for details.

Check-in is at 4pm and guests can arrive any time after. All of our units have self-check-in keypads and you can go directly to the Apartment. 

Check-out is at 11:59AM on the designated date of checkout. Upon your departure we ask that you take the trash out, start the dishwasher with detergent, secure all windows and doors, turn off fans, lights and AC. For those units with keys, please leave them on the kitchen counter.

There are a few differences between the booking features of VRBO/HomeAway/Airbnb (OTAs) and a our direct booking website.

We do not charge booking fees!

Why pay $100’s in booking fees to global vacation rental websites like VRBO/HomeAway/Airbnb, when you can find the same rental homes on our site with ZERO booking fees ?

“Oceanfront” view is an unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean. “Ocean view” would be a view of the ocean with possible obstructions or a view at an angle or between two objects or buildings.

We are very sorry, but we cannot allow any more guests in the home than the maximum amount approved in your rental agreement. 

Unlike hotels, we are unable to offer an early check-in or a late check-out. However, if the home you booked is available 1 day before or 1 day after your existing reservation, we would be able to offer a 50% discount on the nightly rate to add 24 hours to your stay. That way you would be able to check-in any time after 4pm on the day prior to your existing arrival date or check-out any time before 11:59am on the day following your existing departure date. 

Yes. The noise ordinance is applicable at all hours and regardless of the cause.  Very simply, do not bother any of your neighbors at any time.  After 10:00 PM, noise must not be detectable outside the home.  The Mt. Parnassus Inn has strict noise ordinances. From 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM there must be no detectable noise outside the home.  If there is a complaint by a neighbor about noise at the home, you can be fined up to $200us.

To get around the island, you’ll need transportation.

Remember that Grenadians drive on the left side of the road, and that the roads are not as wide as you might be used to. On request, taxi service, tours, and automobile rentals can be arranged.

Spicemas Carnival 2022 is from 1st – 11th August

Every year in August, Grenada hosts its carnival, which is open to the public. It’s a riot of color and pleasure, with colorful street parties and theater, steel bands, and calypso competitions that last well into the early morning.

We take extreme efforts to maintain appliances, electronics, apartment condition, furniture and amenities in good working order. Please note that your apartment is a vacation home so there may be some wear and tear noticed when you check-in. If you are concerned about the condition that you found something in, please let us know. The owner may be aware of a stain or minor tear but have yet to replace the item because it is in otherwise good working order or it may be on order to be replaced in the near future.  Sadly games, appliances, electronics can break unexpectedly during your stay. If something stops functioning properly during your visit, please contact us. In some instances, it may be an issue that can be quickly remedied with guidance over the phone.

If you accidentally break something, it is important for you to immediately notify us. This will enable us to begin scheduling the necessary repairs or replacements. Up to $200 of accidental damage is provided with your reservation. Lack of notification will be considered intentional or due to negligence. As such we will insist that the guest of record is charged for any damages discovered after departure.

Airbnb cleaning fees cover any host expenses associated with preparing their listing in-between guests. This can be restocking cleaning products, the time it takes to clean, buying new towels, etc.
